Employment Type—Contract, Part-Time

Hey Hey Books LLC is currently looking for a writer to create and develop a standalone, full-length romance or romance fantasy novel. Writer will have a large portion of freedom during this project, however, must be willing to listen to and incorporate feedback into their story by a plot by plot and chapter by chapter basis in such a way that the manuscript is suitable for publication.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate proficiency and expertise in MS Office (Word) and Google Docs
• Prepare story proposals
• Plot and write a standalone, full-length novel between 60,00 and 85,000 words
• Fill out character questionnaire(s)
• Fill out world building questionnaire (if applicable)
• Deliver updates on a weekly or biweekly basis
• Respond to all requests and communications in a timely and thorough manner
• Write and revise material as demand and scheduling requires

Qualifications

Preferred Skills/Experience

• At least two years of Creative Writing courses or of a similar field
• Planning and outlining
• Attention to both large and small details
• Self-motivated and disciplined
• Proficient in grammar, punctuation, and spelling
• Proficient in writing character arcs, subplots, dialogue, description, etc.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• Previously published (self or traditional)
• US Citizen
• 18 years or older

Pay

$600.00 plus Royalties
